LORINS Veggie Kare-Kare 

ingredients

  • 2 blocks of tofu, cut into big chunks
  • 3-5 pcs. of pechay
  • 2-3 strings of sitaw, cut about 3 inches
  • 1 eggplant, sliced diagonally
  • ¼ banana heart/blossom, sliced (remove the hard layers)
  • 1 tsp. coffee
  • 1 tsp. coffee
  • 5 tbsps. peanut butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 LORINS SAKTORAP ALAMANG GUISADO (for Sautéing)
  • 1/2 LORINS SAKTORAP ALAMANG GUISADO (for dip)
  • LORINS Patis (for seasoning)
  • 2 tbsps. oil

procedure

  1. Brown each side of the tofu block in a heated pan with oil. Set aside.
  2. In a pot, heat oil and sauté onion, garlic and LORINS SAKTORAP Alamang.
  3. Add the banana blossom, peanut butter and coffee. Cover and cook for about 8-10 mins.
  4. Add sitaw and eggplant. Cook for about 2 mins., and then add pechay.
  5. Season with LORINS Patis. Add the tofu. Simmer for another 2 mins.
  6. Serve with LORINS Alamang on the side.
